Anchor Cottage

Anchor Cottage is a period property tucked into a quiet cul-de-sac a few minutes' walk from the centre of Salcombe, with views across Island Street towards Batson Creek. The open-plan living area brings together a kitchen with a range cooker, a dining table and a sitting area with a DVD player.

The three bedrooms are spread over two upper floors: the second-floor king-size has views towards the creek and an en-suite shower room, while a double and a twin bedroom on the first floor share a family bathroom. The staircase to the second-floor bedroom has no door at either end, so it isn't suitable for young children.

A utility room off the kitchen has a washing machine and a second fridge, and a covered courtyard with a butler's sink is handy for rinsing out wetsuits after the beach. A raised terrace at the rear, with table and chairs, is set among mature borders for dining outside.

One small to medium, well-behaved dog is welcome, on condition it stays off the furniture and doesn't go upstairs; a stairgate is provided to help with this, and puppies under 15 months aren't accepted. Off-road parking is provided for one large car, and the shop, pub and creek are all around 0.1 to 0.2 miles away. Smoking is not permitted.
