Alongside

Alongside is a fisherman's cottage set over three floors in Lympstone, a row of village houses that line the water's edge on the Exe Estuary. The cottage sleeps 2 in a single double bedroom and comes with a dishwasher, washing machine and WiFi throughout.

The ground floor holds a kitchen/diner fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, plus a separate cloakroom with basin and WC. Stairs lead up to the first-floor sitting room, where windows on three sides look out over the estuary, alongside a TV and a desk for anyone working during the stay.

The second floor holds the double bedroom, tucked into the cottage's original eaves, and its own shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC. One well-behaved dog is welcome. The stairs throughout the property are steep, worth planning around if anyone in your group finds stairs difficult, and children stay at the guest's own risk since the single bedroom sleeps two without a cot.

Parking is in the village car park nearby, payable on site, and smoking isn't permitted inside. The village pub, shop and train station are all within easy walking distance, with Exmouth around three miles away for its sandy beach.
