2 Rockmount is a single-storey house set above Salcombe, within a ten-minute walk of the shops and waterfront, though the parking area is reached by a flight of around 60 steps down to the entrance. A level terrace wraps around three sides of the house, and the Cocktail Patio takes in views over the town to the estuary and Snapes Point. The house only accepts a Friday check-in, so plan travel around that.

The dual-aspect living and dining room has a sofa, easy chairs, a gas fire and a flat screen TV, with a picture window framing the estuary during dinner. The kitchen has a four-ring gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave and dishwasher, plus a small breakfast bar, and a door leads out onto the terrace.

Both bedrooms have blackout blinds: a king-size main bedroom and a twin room with two single beds, served by a family bathroom with a bath and shower over. Further steps lead from the terrace up to a decked area with a table and chairs and views across to Snapes Point, with a gate giving direct access to and from Onslow Road.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome at no extra cost, kept to the terrace immediately surrounding the house since the wider garden is not fully enclosed. An EV charger (7kW) is available for an additional charge payable directly to the owner. The house is strictly no smoking.
