South Brent

Kingfisher Lake Lodge carries a marketing address of South Brent, near Totnes, Devon, distinct from the village of South Brent itself, which has a shop and pub within walking distance of the property. The lodge is an off-grid property with solar panels supplying electricity and hot water, plus a private water supply, and guests are advised that prolonged bad weather can deplete the battery system, though a backup generator is provided.

Entry to Kingfisher Lake Lodge is via external steps into an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, with a bio-ethanol fire and double doors onto a decked terrace overlooking the lake, with exclusive fishing rights. Two bedrooms lie to the rear: a double with en-suite WC and a twin, alongside a separate shower room. The lake offers exclusive coarse fishing, mainly carp, for guests who wish to fish, though swimming is not permitted. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, and stepped access to the terrace means the lodge may not suit those with restricted mobility.
