Yard Cottage

Yard Cottage is a Grade II listed three-bedroom cottage on the historic Rousdon Estate, once part of the estate's original buildings and sympathetically renovated. Set within 350 acres of private pastures and woodland a couple of miles from Lyme Regis, the open-plan living area has a woodburning stove alongside the seating and dining space.

The cottage sleeps 6 across three bedrooms. A double bedroom with its own en-suite bathroom sits on the ground floor, while a twin and a second double are upstairs, both full of character, sharing a family bathroom with a bath and shower over.

The kitchen has an electric oven, grill and hob, a microwave, fridge, freezer, a combined washing machine and tumble dryer, and a dishwasher. A Smart TV and WiFi are provided, and oil-fired central heating backs up the woodburning stove; logs aren't supplied but can be bought locally, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

An enclosed courtyard garden to the side has mature shrubs and a seating area for meals outside. Off-road parking covers 2 cars. No pets are allowed and the cottage is no smoking; stair gates don't fit the staircase, there are some internal steps on the ground floor, and the twin bedroom has restricted height in the eaves. Mobile reception can be poor given the rural setting, though WiFi is available throughout.
