Rooks Acre

Rooks Acre is a holiday lodge set within the historic Rousdon Estate, close to Lyme Regis, with sea views from its gardens. The open-plan sitting room has feature wood flooring, a woodburning stove and doors through to a conservatory dining area, and the lodge sleeps 6 across three bedrooms: two doubles and a single with a pull-out truckle bed.

A free-standing bath and walk-in shower share the bathroom, with a separate WC nearby. The country kitchen is fully fitted with an electric oven, grill and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, and oil central heating runs through the lodge, backed up by the woodburning stove with a starter pack of logs included in the rent.

The garden is not enclosed, so dogs and children need supervising outside at all times. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and off-road parking is provided for 2 cars. Mobile reception can be poor given the rural setting, though WiFi covers the lodge throughout for internet-based calls.

The lodge sits within some 350 acres of Rousdon Estate grounds, with gardens, woodlands and footpaths to explore on foot. Smoking is not permitted, and the shop is 3.6 miles away with the pub 3.4 miles, both best reached by car given the rural setting.
