Woodcutters Cottage At Greatrock Farm

Woodcutters Cottage sits within Greatrock Farm on the edge of Hennock, a short walk from The Palk Arms pub and a drive from the market town of Bovey Tracey. It is one of three cottages on the farm, detached from the main farmhouse, and is reached by a short flight of steps up to the entrance. Accommodation is arranged on a single floor and sleeps up to three guests.

The layout is open plan, combining living, dining and kitchen space around a wood burner supplied with free logs and a starter pack of kindling. The kitchen has a double electric oven and hob, a Smeg fridge with an ice compartment and a microwave. Two bedrooms complete the cottage, one with a double bed and one with a single, sharing a shower room with WC, basin and heated towel radiator. Electric heaters are fitted throughout and there is a Smart TV with integrated DVD player.

Outside, guests have use of a garden area beside the cottage with outdoor dining furniture, plus access to larger shared grounds with additional seating, a wood-fired outdoor kitchen and fire pit, a croquet lawn and a petanque court. A private woodland track leads from the cottage to a viewpoint with a picnic table. The shared games barn offers pool, table tennis, darts, table football, a sound system and a home cinema, along with a wood-burning stove for cooler days; the cinema system and outdoor kitchen can be booked for exclusive evening use.

Two dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying, and there is a shared, enclosed dog walking paddock on site. Off-road parking is provided on the farm, and a washing machine and tumble dryer are available on a shared basis with charges applicable. A travel cot and highchair can be provided for younger guests, and storage is available for bicycles and kayaks.
