This two-storey cottage in Beer sits at the centre of the village on the Jurassic Coast, making it a practical base for families or groups of up to six. The shingle beach is less than 200 metres away, and traditional pubs, independent shops and two art galleries are within half a mile.

Downstairs, the living room has neutral tones, two sofas and a gas fire, while a separate snug with a bay window provides a quieter spot to read. The kitchen is generously sized, with skylights, floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors that open to the outside. A one-wall kitchen unit houses the hob and oven; the kitchen is also equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and Bosch coffee machine. The glass dining table seats all six guests. A ground-floor shower room with WC and a utility room with washer/dryer complete the lower level.

Upstairs are three bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master has a king-size bed and its own en-suite shower room with WC. The second bedroom also has a king-size bed, and the third has twin beds. The family bathroom offers a bath and WC for those who prefer a longer soak.

Outside, the enclosed patio is surrounded by shrubs, trees and flowering plants, with a table and chairs for eating outside. Parking is via a permit for the village car park, roughly a two-minute walk away. No dogs are permitted. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure by 10:00.
