Upside Down Cottage is a Grade II listed reverse-level cottage in the heart of Colyton, reached along a shared path within the grounds of a period house. A small courtyard to the front with a bistro table and chairs gives a quiet spot to sit, with the shop and pub both 0.1 miles away and plenty of walks close by, including the East Devon Way.

The living space sits on the first floor, an open-plan room with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, plus a kitchen with a dishwasher and dining and sitting areas that look out over the lane below and the countryside beyond. The double bedroom is on the ground floor, served by a ground-floor shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC.

The kitchen also has an electric oven and hob, a fridge with an ice box, a washing machine, kettle and toaster, and the sitting area has a TV and Wifi. Gas central heating, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent, so there's little to bring beyond the essentials.

This is an adults-only property, and Upside Down Cottage takes one well-behaved dog. Roadside parking is available nearby, check-in runs from 4pm with check-out by 10am, and smoking is not permitted inside. Seaton is 2.8 miles away and Lyme Regis 6.9 miles, both within easy driving distance.
