Tydemans Cottage Appledore

Set in the heart of Appledore, this three-bedroom cottage places you within 100 metres of the quayside, pubs, shops and restaurants. The village's narrow cobbled lanes and working harbour provide a genuine sense of place, and the seasonal passenger ferry from Appledore Quay connects you to the sandy beach and dunes at Instow across the estuary.

The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms: two king-size rooms, one with its own en-suite shower room and WC, and a third bedroom with twin beds that can be zipped into a super-king-size, provided the request is made at the time of booking. A contemporary family bathroom with shower over bath and WC serves the remaining bedrooms. Exposed stonework and ornamental iron fireplaces give the interiors character, while the kitchen/diner is fitted with an electric range oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The lounge sits a few steps up from the kitchen and centres on a wood burner, with the first set of logs included.

Outside, a rear courtyard with bistro table and chairs leads via slate steps to a level strip of enclosed lawn, and a rear pedestrian gate makes it straightforward to bring bikes in and out. Parking is not on-site; the nearest options are along the quay approximately 100 metres away or a public car park around 300 metres from the cottage.

Travel cot and highchair are available on request. Wi-Fi is included. The property does not accept dogs. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure by 10:00.
