Beach View

This cottage sits on one of the pedestrianised streets of Appledore, a short walk from the quayside eateries and family pubs the village is known for. It sleeps up to six people across three bedrooms, with the accommodation arranged over split levels and accessed via steep, narrow cottage stairs with restricted head height in places, so it suits guests comfortable with stairs.

Inside, the ground floor opens into a dining area with table, chairs and a small selection of games, leading up two steps to a lounge with TV/DVD and a woodburner-effect electric fire. A further step up brings you to the well-equipped kitchen, with electric oven, hob, fridge, coffee machine and microwave. A basement utility area houses a washing machine and freezer, kept separate from the main living space.

Upstairs, the first floor holds a spacious double and a bunk room with river views, while a second double occupies the top floor under velux windows with estuary views. The single family bathroom, also on the first floor, has a shower over bath and WC. A small balcony off the lounge leads via external steps down to an enclosed decked garden with seating and undercover space, making the most of the water views toward Instow.

Up to three dogs can stay, with additional charges applying. Parking is on the road nearby rather than on site, and the estuary beach is around a mile away with a pub and shop within walking distance. Internet access is available, and a travel cot and highchair are provided for families.
