Dock Cottage

This cottage occupies one of the oldest properties in Appledore, overlooking the estuary with uninterrupted views across to Instow. The ground floor comprises a dining area, kitchen with original beams and ceiling, lounge with wood burner and Smart TV, plus a separate WC and utility area. The first floor holds the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom featuring a roll-top bath with hand-held shower, and a double bedroom with shower room. The twin bedroom, reached via cottage stairs with sloping ceilings, positions both beds to frame the estuary views.

The property sleeps 6 guests across its three bedrooms. Kitchen facilities include a gas oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer. A wood burner in the lounge comes with the first basket of logs included. All bedrooms have televisions, and the lounge offers a Smart TV and DVD player.

Outside, a patio extends toward the water, providing a dedicated space for morning coffee or evening meals with unobstructed estuary views. Parking is available in a nearby public car park with charges applicable, or on-street parking subject to availability. Three dogs are permitted; additional charges may apply.

The village benefits from cafes, pubs and restaurants within half a mile. Westward Ho! beach lies 2 miles away, known for its pebble ridge and rock pooling. Travel cots and highchairs are available. Arrival is from 17:00 and departure by 10:00.
