1 Tideways

1 Tideways is a house set across three floors in Appledore, a fishing village where the Taw and Torridge rivers meet. The sitting room opens onto a balcony terrace with far-reaching views over the river, a good spot for an evening drink before dinner. The house sleeps six across three bedrooms.

On the lower-ground floor, the kitchen/diner is well-equipped for self-catering, with a utility room for laundry and extra storage, and an enclosed patio outside for sitting out after dinner. The first floor holds three bedrooms: a double with an en-suite walk-in shower, a second double, and a twin room, served by a family bathroom, plus a separate WC on the ground floor.

Gas central heating runs throughout, and the kitchen has a gas oven, electric induction hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, air fryer and a coffee machine. A washer/dryer is provided in the utility room, along with a TV and WiFi in the sitting room. Bed linen and towels are provided for house use only, so guests should bring their own beach towels.

Off-road parking is provided for two cars. No pets, smoking, vaping or naked flames are permitted at 1 Tideways. The pub is about 0.3 miles away, the river 0.3 miles, and the beach around 1.7 miles, with the shop roughly 1.4 miles away.
