Two Moors Shepherds Hut

Two Moors Shepherds Hut sits in a meadow setting in the hamlet of Hittisleigh, right on the Two Moors Way, Devon's coast-to-coast route. The single-storey studio has a woodburning stove, a wood-fired hot tub and dog-friendly accommodation, with three steps up to the entrance and a fully double-glazed, insulated build.

Inside, a kitchenette, wardrobe, dining area and sitting area share the open studio space. The kitchenette has a combi microwave/oven, a two-ring ceramic hob, a fridge with an ice box, a kettle and a toaster. A shower room has a walk-in shower, heated towel rail and hairdryer, and the dining space converts into a double bed for the night using gas struts.

Outside, a private front gravelled area has furniture, the wood-fired hot tub and a charcoal barbeque, with two to three days of wood for the tub included in the rent. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, though the final 100m approach is via a stone track that may not suit cars with a low chassis.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, with a gap under the meadow gate meaning dogs should be supervised outside and not left unaccompanied indoors. A travel cot is available on request, though guests need to bring their own highchair, as babes in arms are welcome. Arrivals are Fridays only, no smoking is permitted, and the shop is 3 miles away with the pub 3.3 miles.
