The Bothy at Lewis Cottage

The Bothy at Lewis Cottage sits in rural surroundings around 5 miles outside Spreyton, within reach of Hittisleigh. The living/dining room has wooden walls and floors around a woodburning stove, with a dining table and a Smart TV, and the kitchen is fitted for both quick breakfasts and longer suppers.

The property sleeps 2 in a single king-size bedroom with an en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC. Underfloor heating runs through the living area, kitchen and bathroom, and the kitchen has an electric double oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and coffee maker.

Outside, the garden has a patio, lawn and furniture for morning coffee or an evening drink. Fuel, power, bed linen, towels and WiFi are all included. The property suits babes in arms only, as there is no highchair, stairgate or cot, and the owner's dog has free range of the surrounding land, with guests able to use the owner's pond and 4 acres of grounds.

Nearby, Chagford has Castle Drogo and riverside walks, Okehampton has its own castle and Meldon Reservoir, and Crediton is known for its parish church and market town streets, all within reach of Dartmoor National Park.

Off-road parking is provided for one car, and one well-behaved dog is welcome, though the property is no smoking. The track down to the property is long and unmade, with steps down into the living/dining room, and the shop and pub are both 3.2 miles away.
