The Barn At Hittisleigh

Set in countryside near Hittisleigh, this cottage accommodates two adults only - children, infants and babies are not accepted. Sitting within the owner's grounds along a private driveway shared with one other holiday property, entry is either via external stone steps up to the first-floor living area or through an external ground-floor door from the garden. A spiral staircase connects both levels.

The king-size bedroom and bathroom - with bath, handheld shower and WC - are on the ground floor, accessed from the hallway. The first-floor open-plan living and dining room has a sofa and Smart TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, air fryer, coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave and fridge with ice compartment.

Outside, a small patio with table and chairs sits beside a lawned garden area. An acre of orchard gives your dog room to exercise off-lead; in all other areas the dog must be kept under control. One car fits in the off-road parking space in front of the garden. The nearest shop is 6 miles away and a pub 2 miles.

Dartmoor is around 15 minutes by car and Exeter, with its Gothic cathedral, fine art museum and guided tours of the underground passages, is reachable for a day out. A train service from nearby Okehampton into Exeter offers an alternative to driving.
