Tregona

Tregona is an all-ground-floor detached cottage in Buckland Monachorum, a village near Yelverton on the edge of the Tamar Valley. A footpath around 70 yards long leads to the door, which may be difficult for guests with mobility issues. The cottage sleeps 2 in a single king-size bedroom, with a bathroom offering the choice of a bath or a separate walk-in shower.

The open-plan living space holds an oak dining table for two, sofas facing the TV and DVD player, and a kitchen fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Oil central heating covers the cottage, with fuel and power included in the rent, and WiFi, books and games are on hand for evenings in.

Outside, an enclosed lawned garden has furniture for meals or a cup of tea in the open air. Parking is on the roadside, first-come, first-served. One small to medium, well-behaved dog is welcome, and the owner will consider enquiries about other pets too.

Smoking is not permitted inside, and the cottage does not take bookings that start on a bank holiday. The shop is 2.3 miles away and the pub 0.1 miles, with the market town of Tavistock a short drive further for shops, cafes and a weekly Pannier Market.
