Timbers

Timbers is a detached house with river frontage above Newton Creek, near Newton Ferrers, looking up and down the creek to Yealm Pool and across to Noss Woods. The house sleeps 8 and has a snug with a piano and a gas woodburner-effect fire alongside the main sitting room.

Two king-size bedrooms, a twin and a double bedroom share three bathrooms, one with a bath and handheld shower, one with a bath, and a ground-floor shower room. A further ground-floor room doubles as a TV room, study or extra sleeping space with a sofa bed.

The kitchen and breakfast room has a gas Aga and hob, an electric oven in the utility room, a microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Gas central heating and a woodburner-effect fire and stove keep the house warm, and there are TVs with Freeview and WiFi throughout.

A veranda and enclosed garden sit to the front, with a side patio, furniture and a barbecue, plus a steep private slipway down to the foreshore; care is needed on the sloping garden and steep banks. One off-road parking space is provided, with further roadside parking nearby, though electric vehicles cannot be charged at the property. No pets are allowed, and steps up and down to the house may not suit guests with limited mobility.
