Gillyweed

Gillyweed is a reverse-level cottage over three floors at Bridgend, on the creek that divides Noss Mayo from Newton Ferrers, part of a converted former malthouse. It sleeps 6 across three bedrooms: a twin room on the ground floor, and a second-floor king-size bedroom with a Juliette balcony and a second twin room with a Velux window.

A ground-floor shower room serves the twin room there, and a second-floor bathroom with a sunken bath and hand-held shower serves the two upper bedrooms. A secure ground-floor storage area holds a washing machine and tumble dryer, along with garden furniture for taking outside.

The first floor holds an open-plan living space with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, and glazed folding doors open onto a balcony over the creek. The kitchen has a double electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, and there's a Smart TV, a second TV and WiFi. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

To the front, a non-enclosed shared lawn gives access to parking and a shared tidal slipway into the creek. Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars. No pets are allowed and the cottage is strictly no smoking. The shop is around 0.7 miles away, the pub around 0.4 miles, and the estuary sits right at the doorstep. Children need supervising given the creek-front location.
