The Olde Chapel

The Olde Chapel is a converted chapel in Bickington near Barnstaple, sleeping up to six across three bedrooms. The original vestibule leads into an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner with high ceilings, underfloor heating and the church's original pews worked into the seating. A bespoke staircase, built from the chapel's original seating timber, rises to a mezzanine level with a games table, books, an arcade machine and an Xbox, overlooking the main living space through a balustrade.

The kitchen has a dual fuel range cooker, an instant boiling water tap, a dishwasher and an integrated fridge/freezer, and a separate utility room holds the washing machine and tumble drier. Two bedrooms sit on the ground floor, both with super-king zip-and-link beds that can be split into twins on request. The larger has an en-suite shower room with WC, while a second bathroom nearby has a roll-top bath, separate shower and WC. Bi-fold doors from the rear hall open onto the garden.

Upstairs, the master bedroom has a super-king bed, roof lights, built-in wardrobes and an en-suite with a bath, separate shower and WC, giving three bathrooms across the property in total. The west-facing garden has artificial grass, garden furniture and an outside fireplace, catching sun from early afternoon into the evening.

Off-road parking is provided for two cars, and internet access is available. A travel cot and highchair can be requested ahead of arrival. Up to two dogs are welcome, with additional charges possible. Arrival is from 4pm and departure by 10am.
