This two-bedroom cottage sits beside the River Coly in Colyton, under half a mile from the town centre. The ground floor holds a lounge with original beams, characterful furnishings and a wood-burner-effect gas stove, plus a dining area seating six and a second sitting room containing a sofa bed. A kitchen with a breakfast table connects to the main living space. Upstairs, a double and a twin bedroom occupy the first floor, served by a bathroom with bath and WC and a separate shower room with WC.

A steep, narrow cottage-style staircase reaches the upper bedrooms, worth bearing in mind for anyone who finds stairs difficult. The walled rear garden is enclosed and private, with garden furniture for outdoor sitting. One off-street parking space accommodates a small car, and undercover bike storage is available in the garage. A washing machine, television with DVD player and internet access are all included, and towels are provided. The property accommodates four guests; two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply.

Seaton beach is three miles away, with access to the South West Coastal Path and the Jurassic Coast. The East Devon Way passes close to the cottage, offering around 40 miles of countryside walking through the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A shop and pub are both under half a mile away.
