The Granary - Ilfracombe

The Granary sits on a working farm alongside four other holiday properties, five miles from Ilfracombe with its shops, pubs and restaurants. The cottage is mainly arranged on one floor, with the lounge, kitchen and dining area forming the main living space beneath exposed beams and large windows.

Sleeping six across three bedrooms, the layout has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom on the ground floor, both served by a separate wet room with WC. A staircase from the living area leads to a galleried double bedroom, screened by full-length drapes rather than a fixed partition, so it suits family groups more than parties needing complete privacy between rooms.

The kitchen has an electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine, while the lounge has a wood burner with a first basket of logs included, plus a TV and DVD player. Outside is an enclosed patio with garden furniture and farmland views; disposable barbecues can be bought on site. A shared tumble dryer is available elsewhere on the farm, and heating is electric with underfloor heating included. Towels are not provided.

Onsite activities include a pets corner with rescue animals such as alpacas, donkeys, pigs and rabbits, a shared indoor play barn with pool table and table tennis, an outdoor play area with swings and a slide, and a small library of books and toys. There is ample on-site parking and internet access. Up to five dogs are welcome, though they must not be left unattended in the cottage and additional charges may apply. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
