Cart Linhay Cottage

Cart Linhay Cottage sits on a working farm near Ilfracombe, one of five holiday properties sharing the complex. Laid out entirely on one level, it suits families who prefer not to manage stairs during a stay, and it sleeps five across two bedrooms.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner has seating for four at the table, along with an electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. The lounge has a TV, DVD and video player, Freeview and a Hi-Fi. One bedroom holds a double bed and the other has three single beds, sharing the single bathroom, which has a shower over the bath and a WC.

Outside, a private and fully enclosed garden runs to the front of the cottage with patio seating and garden furniture, suited to a disposable barbecue. Guests can also make use of the farm's shared facilities, including an indoor play barn with a pool table and table tennis, an outdoor play area with swings and a slide, a stocked library, and a toddler-friendly pets corner where children can meet rescue animals such as alpacas, donkeys and guinea pigs.

Practical details matter here: heating is electric with underfloor heating included, though towels are not provided. A shared tumble dryer is available on site alongside ample parking, and the property has internet access. Up to five dogs can stay, provided they are not left unattended in the cottage, and additional charges may apply. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
