Barton Farm

Barton Farm is a four-bedroom period barn conversion in West Down, sleeping up to eight guests across three king-size rooms and a twin. Beamed ceilings, exposed stone and an inglenook fireplace in the lounge give the interior real character, and wood burners in both the lounge and dining room make it a practical base for cooler seasons. A starter pack of logs is provided for both.

The kitchen is the working heart of the house: an Everhot Aga with three ovens sits alongside an induction hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave, all arranged around an island open to the dining room. A utility room with washer/dryer and a separate WC complete the ground floor. Upstairs, the main bedroom has its own en-suite shower room, and a family bathroom with shower and WC serves the remaining three rooms. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request.

Glazed doors open from the lounge and dining room into an enclosed garden with mature trees and shrubs. A patio holds a large dining table and gas BBQ; guests are asked to clean the BBQ before departure or a cleaning fee applies. Armchairs on the lawn gather around a steel fire pit, and a hot tub completes the outdoor space. The hot tub is included for seven-night stays from April to September; a £200 supplement applies for stays from October to March and for shorter stays at any time. Children should be supervised near the small raised pond.

Private parking for three cars is on site, along with an electric vehicle charging point at an additional charge of £50. One dog is welcome, with possible additional charges. The village pub and community shop are roughly 350 metres away, and Woolacombe beach is five miles distant.
