July Cottage

July Cottage is a two-bedroom terraced cottage in West Down, a village near Ilfracombe in North Devon, sleeping up to two adults and two children. The village pub, a 17th-century free house, and the community village stores are both within 0.1 miles of the front door.

The ground floor is arranged as an open-plan kitchen, dining and living room. Kitchen equipment includes an induction hob, electric oven, microwave and fridge/freezer, with a dining table set to the rear on a tiled floor. The living area has oak flooring and a log burner with a basket of logs provided, alongside a Smart TV and DAB radio. Entry is through a spacious porch that contains a dog shower, a practical feature given that three dogs are welcome and a community field for exercise is close by.

Upstairs are two bedrooms: a double with exposed beams and an oak latched door, and a children's room with two small single beds measuring 6'6" x 2'6" and 5'7" x 2'6", which are sized for children only. The single bathroom has a compact three-quarter bath with shower over and WC. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available, and mobile signal is variable throughout.

Directly opposite the cottage, an enclosed raised terrace has a table and chairs for outdoor dining. A separate cottage garden a few yards down a shared path features seating made from an old boat and connects to the community field beyond. Free public parking is available in a car park approximately 60 metres away; there is no dedicated on-site space.
