The Gardeners Cottage

The Gardeners Cottage stands near Parkham, close to Bideford, and suits couples or families of up to four. A porch for boots and coats leads into an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with a double-aspect window, a stone fireplace with wood burner (logs included), a Smart TV and DVD player, and comfortable seating alongside the dining table.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Two bedrooms lead off the hallway: a king-size room with its own TV and en-suite shower room and WC, and a zip-and-link room that can be arranged as a twin if requested when booking. A separate bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC serves the second bedroom.

Outside, doors from the master bedroom and the lounge open onto a decked patio with garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue, overlooking around an acre of private, enclosed garden. Off-road parking is available for three cars, and a travel cot and highchair can be provided on request.

Up to four dogs are welcome, though the property owners note that four adults and four large dogs together may feel a little tight indoors, so this is worth bearing in mind for larger dog groups. A village shop is around a mile away and a pub is within walking distance; day fishing can be arranged nearby, though a licence is required. Wifi is available on site.
