The Dolphins

The Dolphins sits in a row of houses right on the beach in Shaldon, with an open-plan living space that opens onto a balcony looking over the beach, its boats and swans, and sunsets over The Ness. The kitchen area has granite work surfaces and a breakfast bar, and a separate snug seats four for watching TV or playing games.

Upstairs, three bedrooms sleep 6: two doubles and a twin, with sea views from the doubles. One double has its own en-suite bathroom with a corner bath, hand shower, WC and basin, plus its own balcony. A separate shower room and a downstairs WC serve the rest of the house.

The kitchen has a fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher, and the living space has a TV with Sky and DVD player, a games console and WiFi. Central heating runs on electric fires with underfloor heating, and fuel and power are included in the rent. A cot and highchair are available on request.

Parking for one car is in a garage about 500 yards from the property, with alternative parking available in a public car park nearby. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and the property is no smoking. A pub is under a mile away.

Shaldon is a Regency village on the Teign estuary, across the bridge from Teignmouth with its beach and promenade. The village has shops, tea rooms and a small zoo, and the South West Coast Path runs on to Torquay for those wanting a longer walk.
