The Bothy

The Bothy is a barn conversion on the outskirts of Slapton, reached across a field where sheep graze, so the gates need keeping closed on the way in and out. Floor-to-ceiling windows and Juliet balconies fill the open-plan kitchen, sitting and dining room with rural views across the valley, and the property sleeps 4 across two bedrooms.

Both bedrooms sit on the lower ground floor: one has a super king-size bed that can be split into two singles on request, the other a king-size bed, and they share a shower room with a walk-in shower, wash basin and WC. Underfloor heating runs throughout the property, and a wood burning stove warms the main living space.

The kitchen is fitted with an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster, and there is a separate washing machine. A TV and WiFi cover quieter evenings in. Outside, a large decked terrace with a glass balcony and outdoor furniture leads to a gravelled sitting area with a firepit and a private hot tub, both taking in the same valley views.

Parking is provided for up to four cars on the gravelled drive. Children under 7 years old are not accepted, the property is strictly no smoking, and a returnable bond applies. Pets are not permitted.
