The Armourers Forge

The Armourers Forge is a three-floor townhouse in the centre of Ashburton, on the southern slopes of Dartmoor. It sleeps 8 across four bedrooms: two second-floor doubles, a first-floor double and a second-floor twin, with two bathrooms.

Each bathroom, one on the first floor and one on the second, has a freestanding bath, handheld shower, separate shower, basin and WC. The ground floor holds a kitchen and a dining room with seating for eight and an open fireplace, while the first-floor sitting room has a woodburner and contemporary sofas.

The kitchen has a Smeg range cooker with gas and electric ovens, a gas hob, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. There's a Smart 4K TV with Freeview, high-speed WiFi, and a selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and a starter pack for the fire are included in the rent.

The Armourers Forge takes two well-behaved dogs, with a charge per dog per week. Off-road parking is provided at the rear, reached through double doors 2120mm wide at the narrowest point and 2.06m high, worth checking against a larger vehicle. A cot and highchair are available, smoking is not permitted, and the shop and pub are a 2-minute walk away.
