Little Orchard

Little Orchard is a two-bedroom barn conversion in Ashburton Down, a rural spot within the Dartmoor National Park about 2.2 miles from Ashburton itself and near Bickington. The barn sleeps 4 across two bedrooms, with far-reaching countryside views, and the owner lives next door. A minimum stay of 3 nights applies.

A private driveway has two off-road parking spaces, leading into a light-filled open-plan living space with a shaker kitchen, a dining table for six, and a woodburning stove. The kitchen has a double electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and oil-fired central heating runs throughout.

The king-size bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom with a bath, hand-held shower, walk-in shower, basin and WC, and its own Smart TV and access to the patio. A twin bedroom, which can be made up as a super-king on request, is served by a separate shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC. The staircase has open tread steps.

Outside, an enclosed, multi-level rear garden has a lawn, patio, furniture and a charcoal barbecue, though there are steps to manage between levels. The washing machine is housed in a lockable external utility room, which doubles as secure storage for cycles. One well-behaved dog is welcome, and smoking is not permitted. The shop is 1.5 miles away and the pub 2.2 miles.
