Stag Cottage at West Ashridge

Stag Cottage is a reverse-level barn conversion set within a working farm, reached along a private driveway through the owners' land. The upper floor holds an open-plan living space with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, comfortable seating, Smart TV and DAB radio, while the king-size bedroom and shower room sit on the lower level, accessed by an internal staircase. Off-road parking for one car is provided, and an EV charger is on site; contact the owner directly to arrange use and agree payment.

Two guests are accommodated and up to two dogs are welcome, with possible additional charges. Outside, an enclosed courtyard offers private seating with field views, and an adjoining paddock gives dogs space to run off lead. The farm's alpacas are a short walk away, and feeding sessions can be arranged with the owners. Kitchen and laundry facilities include an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and washing machine.

Bideford is a little over two miles away, providing easy access to shops, pubs and restaurants, and a local pub is roughly one mile from the cottage. The sandy beach at Westward Ho! and the sand dunes at Instow are both around five miles by road, while the fishing village of Appledore lies approximately five and a half miles distant.

Because of the staircase connecting the two floors, anyone with limited mobility should consider the layout carefully before booking. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
