Tarka View

Tarka View is a single-storey holiday let on the riverside outskirts of Bideford, close to the River Torridge, with countryside views from the property. Newly refurbished and under new management, it's set up as a retreat for two, with a hot tub on the rear decking.

The one king-size bedroom has an en-suite with a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC. The open-plan living space combines the kitchen, a dining area for two and a sitting area with an electric fire, making the most of the single-storey layout.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster, and there's a Smart TV and WiFi throughout. Electric central heating covers the whole property, and off-road parking is provided for 2 cars right outside. Check-in is from 5pm and check-out by 10am.

Outside, a front decked area is enclosed for a morning coffee, and a rear enclosed decking terrace has furniture, a barbecue and the hot tub for evenings in. A gardener visits the property every Friday to keep the grounds tidy. Tarka View takes two well-behaved pets, with a charge for any additional dog, and all bookings must start on a Friday to allow for changeovers. The shop and pub are 0.7 miles away, the river 0.1 miles, and the beach around 4 miles, with no smoking permitted inside.
