Rivers Retreat

This single-storey property sits next to the owner's home in Bideford, on the North Devon side of the River Torridge, close to the quayside and within walking distance of local pubs and shops. A small porch gives guests their own private entrance into a galley-style kitchen, fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washer dryer, plus a breakfast bar with stools.

The kitchen opens into a lounge with bi-folding doors framing views over the garden towards the river and Torridge Bridge beyond. A comfortable sofa sits alongside a wall-mounted Smart TV and a small dining space for two. The property sleeps two guests in a king-size bedroom, which has its own Smart TV, and is served by a separate wet room shower with WC.

Outside, a covered decked balcony has a heater and seating overlooking the estuary; the owner's lawned garden is not accessible to guests, though steps lead down to a private gravelled area guests can use. Off-road carport parking is provided for two cars, with additional roadside parking nearby, and secure undercover storage for bikes or outdoor equipment can be arranged on request.

Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. Wi-Fi is included throughout the stay. Arrival is from 3pm and departure before 10am. During the festive period the property is decorated for Christmas.
