Pillhead Cider House

Pillhead Cider House sits at Pillhead Farm near Bideford, a single-storey cottage reached by four internal steps down to the lower-ground-floor bedroom. It sleeps 2, with original beams and white-washed walls throughout the open-plan living space and kitchen area.

The double bedroom is zip/link and can be made up as a twin on request, with an en-suite bathroom that has a jacuzzi bath, a walk-in shower, basin, bidet and WC. A woodburning stove warms the sitting area, backed by electric central heating, and there is ample storage space for luggage.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer and dishwasher, and the property has two TVs, a DVD player, HiFi system, radio, CD player and WiFi. A cot and highchair are available on request, and fuel, power and a stove starter pack are included in the rent along with bed linen and towels.

Guests share communal grounds and farmland with lawn, furniture, a barbecue and a heated outdoor swimming pool with a smaller paddling pool, open seasonally from late May to early September. One well-behaved dog is welcome, though dogs are not permitted in the farm fields where livestock roam. Off-road parking is provided, smoking is not allowed, and the two nearest shops are 0.9 and 1.5 miles away.
