Stable End Cottage

Stable End Cottage is a renovated barn half a mile from Malborough and around two miles from the sailing town of Salcombe, with far-reaching views of the tranquil surrounding countryside at Portlemore Barton from the main bedroom and terrace. A country-style kitchen has a range of modern appliances, and the open-plan lounge and dining room has a TV, comfortable sofas and a dining table that seats four.

A door from the living space leads out onto a private terrace, where guests can enjoy al fresco dining in the summer sunshine. On the ground floor is a twin bedroom with an adjacent shower room, while a double bedroom with its own en-suite bathroom sits on the first floor, taking in the same countryside views, so the cottage sleeps four across the two rooms.

The kitchen includes a double oven, hob, washer/dryer, fridge and microwave, and there is baby-friendly equipment for younger guests, along with a TV, DVD player and iPod docking station in the living room. Outside, the private walled terrace has a table, chairs and a barbecue, and parking is provided for up to four cars in the rural setting around the cottage.

Stable End Cottage does not accept pets, and smoking is not permitted. Bed linen and towels are supplied throughout, and mobile phone reception is limited in this part of the South Hams, worth knowing before you rely on a signal during the stay.
