Skyview

Three steps lead up to the entrance of Skyview, a single-storey lodge near Newton Ferrers and one of four in the Briar Hill Lodges group set in the South Devon countryside. Once inside, everything is on one level, and the lodge sleeps 6 across three bedrooms.

A super-king-size bedroom, which can be made up as twin beds on request, has an en-suite with a bath, shower over, basin and heated towel rail. There's also a double bedroom and a bunk bed room suitable for children only, served by a separate shower room with a large walk-in shower, its own basin, heated towel rail and WC.

The open-plan living area combines a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining space and a sitting area with a Smart TV, and the kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and a slimline dishwasher. Central heating and WiFi cover the rest of the lodge, and the dining area seats up to six for home-cooked meals.

One car can park adjacent to the lodge, and the enclosed, wraparound decking has furniture for sitting out with a morning coffee or an evening meal. Skyview does not allow pets and is no smoking throughout, and it cannot take bookings with a Friday check-in date. The shop is 0.2 miles away and the pub 0.3 miles, with the river a similar distance.
