Silver Birch

Silver Birch is a single-storey lakeside lodge near Dolton, with a fully enclosed and gated garden that's especially handy for dog owners, plus an outdoor tap for washing muddy paws. It sleeps 4 across two en-suite bedrooms, with a private hot tub on the lakeside terrace.

One bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite with walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC; the second is a twin with the same en-suite arrangement. There's also a separate cloakroom. The open-plan living space combines the kitchen, dining and sitting areas, and there are steps up to the lodge, worth noting for anyone with heavy bags.

The kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, and there's a TV and WiFi. Gas central heating covers the lodge, and fuel and power are included in the rent. Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars.

Outside, the enclosed lakeside terrace has the private hot tub and garden furniture, and pleasure fishing is included across the site's lakes for anyone who wants to try. Silver Birch takes one well-behaved dog. Minimum-stay conditions apply and are longer over peak summer weeks, so check your dates when booking. Anglers must arrive before 4.30pm for equipment handling. The nearest shop is 3.3 miles away and the pub 3.2 miles.
