Pine

Views across the lakes and rolling countryside run from Pine, a detached lodge on the Stafford Moor site near Dolton. Around two miles of walking routes start from the doorstep, so the car can stay parked for a day of exploring on foot.

Downstairs, an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area sits alongside a double bedroom with an en-suite bath, handheld shower and heated towel rail, a twin bedroom, and a separate shower room. A third double bedroom is upstairs next to a first-floor sitting room, which opens onto a balcony with decking and furniture overlooking the water.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and two TVs plus WiFi are provided, with central heating throughout the lodge and fuel and power included in the rent. Off-road parking is available for 2 cars, and a non-enclosed front garden has a patio and furniture for sitting outside.

Fishing across Stafford Moor's seven lakes is included in the stay, with a tackle shop on site, though equipment for the property's own pleasure fishing is not provided, and anglers must arrive before 4.30pm for equipment handling. One well-behaved dog is welcome at Pine, and smoking is not permitted. The shop and pub are 3.2 miles away, with Dolton, Winkleigh, Great Torrington and the wider Devon countryside all within reach.
