Sea Chest Apartment

Sea Chest Apartment occupies the first and second floors above a ground-floor entrance in the centre of Appledore, a working fishing village on the Torridge estuary. The apartment sleeps four across two bedrooms and suits couples or a small family looking for a base within walking distance of the village quay, shops and eateries.

A staircase from the ground-floor entrance leads to the first-floor landing, where the lounge has comfy sofas, a Smart TV, a feature fireplace and a DAB radio. The open-plan kitchen/diner is fitted with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, slimline dishwasher and washer/dryer, plus a dining table. A bathroom with shower over bath and WC sits just off the kitchen. A second staircase from the landing rises to the two bedrooms on the top floor, one double and one twin, both with exposed beams.

There is no private outdoor space at this apartment, though vehicles can pull up briefly outside to unload before finding a spot on the roadside, subject to availability, or in a nearby public car park. Internet access is provided, and a travel cot and highchair are available for families travelling with young children. Pets and dogs are not permitted.

The village quay is a short walk away, with a seasonal ferry crossing the estuary to Instow in summer months, and Westward Ho! is around two miles off if you fancy a sandy beach further afield. Towels are included in the stay, and the apartment is decorated for Christmas during the festive season.
