Anchor House

Anchor House is a former fisherman's cottage set in a cobbled courtyard in Appledore, close to the heart of the village. The double-fronted property has been furnished to retain much of its traditional character, and sleeps four across two bedrooms.

The double and twin bedrooms are both accessed by steep cottage-style stairs. Upstairs there is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, WC and heated towel rail, while a further small shower room with its own WC sits on the ground floor. The lounge has a Victorian fireplace with a woodburner (a basket of logs is provided), a TV with DVD and Freeview, and a selection of books and films for evenings in.

The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob, electric double oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and a washer/dryer, suiting guests who prefer to cook rather than eat out. A few steps lead from the kitchen up to a small conservatory with a stable door. There is no enclosed outside space at Anchor House, though guests can use the shared cobbled courtyard at the front of the cottage.

Parking is on the roadside, with a long-stay car park nearby. Shops, pubs, restaurants and the quay are all within walking distance, while the beach at Northam Burrows is around two miles away by car. This property cannot accept children under the age of 6, and dogs are not permitted. Electric and central heating are included in the stay.
