Sandquay View

Sandquay View sits in an elevated spot above Dartmouth, a former officers' quarters for the Royal Naval College next door, with the building's grounds running along one side. Reaching the cottage means climbing three flights of stairs, around 90 steps in total, so it suits guests happy on their feet. The reward is a raised deck with a gravelled garden, looking out over the river and the passing Dartmouth steam train.

The cottage sleeps 6 across three bedrooms: a king-size with its own TV, a double, and a twin on the ground floor next to the refurbished bathroom, fitted in 2023 with a shower cubicle, basin and WC. A dining room and a first-floor sitting room give separate space to eat and unwind, while the kitchen holds an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a washing machine.

Gas central heating runs throughout, fuel and power are included in the rent, and two TVs plus WiFi cover downtime. Bed linen and towels come with the let, so there is little to bring beyond food and clothes.

There is no parking at the property itself, so a car-free plan for the stay works best. The shop is 0.6 miles away and the pub closer, at 0.1 miles. Sandquay View does not take pets, and smoking is not permitted.
