Riversea Cottage

Kingswear sits on the east bank of the River Dart, and Riversea Cottage occupies a prominent position there, spread across three floors with river views from most rooms. The cottage sleeps seven guests across four bedrooms: three king-size rooms and one single, with three bedrooms on the entrance level and one king-size on the ground floor. Two bathrooms serve the property, one with a corner bath, bidet and WC, the other with a shower cubicle and WC, alongside a separate cloakroom. No dogs are accepted, and no children under 12 may stay owing to health and safety concerns around high-level windows.

The upper floor holds an open-plan living and dining area beneath high ceilings, with picture windows and patio doors framing the River Dart. Three large sofas furnish the sitting space alongside a TV with Sky subscription, while the glass-topped dining table sits directly beside the patio doors. A breakfast bar adjoins the kitchen, fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. A nautical-themed snug off the hallway provides a quieter seating area away from the main living space.

Patio doors in the dining area open onto a raised terrace with views across the River Dart towards Dartmouth Castle, and steps lead down to a further sheltered patio within the landscaped garden. A washing machine and tumble dryer are housed in the garage at basement level. The property is accessed via many concrete steps and is multi-level throughout, making it unsuitable for anyone with mobility difficulties.

Parking is covered by a permit for one vehicle at Dart Haven Marina, a ten-minute walk away; additional vehicles pay via the RingGo app. The approach lane is narrow and suited only to very small vehicles, so walking it is recommended. A pub and shop are within half a mile, and the nearest beach is 1.5 miles away.
