This traditional cottage sits in Appledore, a working harbour town in North Devon known for independent shops, galleries and the North Devon Maritime Museum. The property lies less than a quarter of a mile from the quay, where fishing boats operate and summer ferries cross to nearby Instow. The beach is 2.9 miles away. A pub and shops are within a short walk.

The low-ceilinged cottage blends original character with contemporary comfort. Downstairs, a front lounge has beamed ceilings, ample seating and TV. The spacious kitchen at the rear includes a Rangemaster double oven, five gas rings, Nespresso machine, dishwasher and farmhouse table with bench seating. A dining room with feature fireplace sits beside it. Off the kitchen, a utility room contains a washing machine and tumble dryer, with a separate cloakroom housing a WC.

Steep stairs lead to two generous double bedrooms on the first floor, sharing a spacious bathroom fitted with a large walk-in shower. A travel cot and highchair are provided. The cottage has an enclosed, tiered garden at the rear; care must be taken with young children on the stepped slopes. Parking is unallocated on-street or available at a public car park nearby.

No dogs are permitted. Bring your own beach towels. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00. The front door has a step down, and hallway ceilings are low throughout the ground floor.
