Quayside

Quayside sits behind large entrance gates directly off Fore Street in the heart of Salcombe with the waterfront on the doorstep. The main living, dining and kitchen areas are on the second floor, with a large internal balcony overlooking the water, a spot for meals whatever the weather.

The house sleeps 10 across four bedrooms spread over three floors: a super king-size master with en-suite bathroom, a twin room, a double bunk bedroom suitable for children only, and a further twin room with its own en-suite. There's also a family bathroom, two cloakrooms, a utility room and a ground-floor space for storing wetsuits and beach equipment, useful given the harbourside setting.

The kitchen has granite worktops, a five-ring gas hob, double ovens, a dishwasher, wine cooler and an American-style fridge-freezer, with gas central heating. A smart TV and a sideboard of books and games sit in the sitting room. A small outside courtyard with a beach seat gives somewhere to sit out, and private parking is provided for up to three cars, unusual for a property this central in Salcombe.

No pets are permitted, and the house is strictly no smoking. Its position behind private gates on Fore Street puts the waterfront, boutiques and the small passenger ferry within easy walking distance. The bunks are for children only, worth factoring in when splitting up a party of ten.
