Branscombe barn conversion with a woodburner and shared 2-acre grounds
This barn conversion sits next to the owners' own house in Branscombe, with an open-plan sitting, kitchen and dining area warmed by a woodburner, plus a separate sun room looking onto the garden. A family bedroom holds a king-size bed and a single, with its own en-suite bathroom, while a second king-size bedroom shares a family bathroom down the landing. Neither bathroom has an upright shower, only a bath with a hand-held shower.
Velux windows and sloping ceilings upstairs give the rooms some character, and a gravelled area with a private patio and furniture sits just outside. Guests also share around 2 acres of grounds with woods around the cottage.
The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, and the sitting room has a Smart TV, DVD player and WiFi. Heating comes from electric heating and the woodburner, with a starter pack for the fire included. Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars, and the washing machine and tumble dryer are shared with the owners in a separate building.
Pottery Barn takes up to two well-behaved dogs, and a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available. Smoking isn't allowed, and the pub is about an 8-minute walk from the cottage.
