A traditional thatched cottage in Dalwood, sitting within the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Palmers Cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms. The king-size, double and twin rooms are all upstairs, reached by either of two separate staircases connecting from the snug or the dining room in classic Devon Longhouse fashion. Two bathrooms serve the property: a full bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC upstairs, and a shower room with shower and WC on the ground floor.

Exposed beams run throughout the interior, starting in the dining room where an oak table seats the whole party. The kitchen above features a centre island with breakfast bar, a built-in double electric oven, separate hob, Rayburn, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge-freezer, with a semi-conservatory glass ceiling flooding the space with natural light. Two separate sitting rooms give the group room to spread out: one with a pair of sofas and a Smart TV, the other a quieter snug with a second Smart TV. The log burners are not available for use due to the cottage's thatched insurance.

Outside, an enclosed private lawn gives children space to run around freely. A summer house with adjoining decked area extends the outdoor living space, with a BBQ and tumble dryer housed within. Private off-road parking for two cars sits on site, and the village shop and pub are less than 0.1 miles away.

A highchair and travel cot are both available on request. No dogs are permitted at this property. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure by 10:00.
