Newton Calm

Newton Calm is a single-storey lodge set in the countryside near Newton Ferrers and one of four in the Briar Hill Lodges group. It sleeps 4 across two bedrooms, all on one level.

The king-size bedroom has an en-suite walk-in shower, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC. The twin bedroom is a zip/link that can be made up as a super-king-size on request. The separate bathroom has a bath with a shower over and a heated towel rail.

The open-plan living space combines the kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with an electric fire and TV, plus a study desk. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher, and central heating covers the lodge, with fuel and power included in the rent.

Newton Calm takes one dog; guests are asked to sign a waiver and show proof of up-to-date flea and worm treatment for any dog on the booking. One car can park in the designated space next to the entrance, and the enclosed, wraparound decking has furniture for sitting out. Smoking is not permitted, and the lodge cannot take Friday check-ins. The shop is around 0.2 miles away, with the pub and river both about 0.3 miles.
