Cherry Tree Cottage is an 18th-century terraced cottage in the village of Noss Mayo, facing the river across a lane, with Newton Ferrers just across the water. Traditional stable doors open into a cosy sitting room, and the property sleeps 4 across two en-suite double bedrooms.

The ground-floor double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower over, while the first-floor king-size double has its own en-suite shower room. The kitchen sits on the first floor too, with a back door onto the garden, so guests can step outside on a fine day. Stairs between the levels have a low ceiling in one spot, around 5ft 10in, worth knowing if anyone in the group is tall.

The terraced garden at the rear rises in steps to a sunny decked area with rooftop views towards the river, and there is a second seating area with a table and chairs down by the water, reached across the lane. A cot and highchair are available on request, and the kitchen has a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV and WiFi, with fuel and power included in the rent.

Cherry Tree Cottage takes one well-behaved dog. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, and the enclosed garden gives a private outdoor space away from the lane. Two pubs are a short walk away. Smoking is not permitted.
