Milking Shed - Orange Elephant

Milking Shed sits within the grounds of a working dairy farm at Kennford, near Exeter, and forms part of the same site as the Orange Elephant Ice Cream Parlour. Guests staying here have free access to the Summer Meadow and outdoor children's play area on site, though these facilities operate seasonally from Easter until the beginning of September and access to the rest of the working farm is not permitted.

The whole barn conversion is arranged on one level, with all three bedrooms close to the open-plan living space. Two bedrooms have king-size beds and the third is a twin, sleeping up to six guests in total. There are two bathrooms: one with a shower over the bath serving two of the bedrooms, and an en-suite shower room attached to the master bedroom.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area is finished with fitted features and includes a Smart TV and an Alexa smart speaker in the lounge. The kitchen has a central island, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave, alongside a rustic dining table. Internet access is available throughout the property. A lockable shed on site can be used to store surfboards, prams, luggage and bikes.

Outside, an enclosed private courtyard with decking and patio furniture provides a spot to sit outdoors. Private parking is available for two cars, and a travel cot and highchair are provided for younger guests. Dogs are not permitted at this property, and CCTV operates around the wider farm site. A pub is around a mile away, with a shop roughly three miles from the property.
