Chaff House - Orange Elephant

This single-level cottage sits on a working dairy farm near Kennford, a short drive from Exeter. It sleeps three across two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and one a single, served by one bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. The open-plan living space brings together a fitted kitchen, dining table and lounge area with a Smart TV and Alexa speaker, all arranged in an L-shape that suits relaxed evenings in.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher, making self-catering straightforward for a short stay. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, useful for families travelling with young children. Outside, an enclosed decked area with patio furniture gives a private spot for morning coffee or outdoor dining, away from the wider farm.

Two dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying, and a welcome pack including treats, an outside wash area and towels is provided. Guests should note this is a working dairy farm and access is strictly limited to the cottage grounds, with no entry to other parts of the site. A summer meadow play area for children operates on site with free access until dusk, though the wider farm facilities, including the on-site ice cream parlour, run only from Easter until the beginning of September.

Private parking is provided for one car, and internet access is available in the cottage. A lockable shed on site offers extra storage for surfboards, prams, luggage or bikes. Arrival is from 4pm and departure before 10am, and this property can also be booked alongside others on the farm on request.
